Great food nice people and good atmosphere
Great service and good food. I got the chicken friend chicken and the gravy was amazing as well as the salad and mashed... potatoes. Our waitress was amazing too! Great attitude and very knowledgeable about the menu and pricing. Come here if you wanta home-style-cooked country meal in the sweet town of Anderson. Definitely will be back. Also super clean! Went in for breakfast on 6/21/22 and it was great. Just good old fashioned country cooking like your grandma made. Huge... pancakes, perfectly crispy bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs, homemade biscuits with some great jelly options with a heaping helpingof down home country service with a smile and a little sass. Wife and I really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it toothers if they're in the area. Give it a try, you won't be sorry. Read more

While traveling through Anderson we decided to stop for a bite to eat and happened upon Kott's Cafe. Upon entering we were... immediately greeted by the most friendliest hostess / waitress who could obviously tell we were new to the area. She took thetime to explain their menu and we were seated. While waiting, the waitress brought us complimentary brownies and some sort ofpeanut butter type cookies, ????.. both were excellent! I typically like to order chicken fried steak in these sort of countrycafes and did so on this trip. Their portion was plenty and I immediately noticed the quality and taste of their food wasleagues better than any chain type restaurant. It was a pleasant country type atmosphere and it was obvious that locals dinedthere frequently. We did find it interesting to see individual photos of the Kott family on the walls of the cafe. Our waitresstook the time to explain a brief history of the cafe and share a little bit about each family member. I was surprised to learnthat our cook that day was in fact the "baby" of the family. I had to meet her and thank her for a wonderful meal. Price wise,... Very reasonable. In closing, their friendliness, quality of food, and price... you are not going to find in larger towns. Well worth the visit and we will be stopping in everytime we travel through Anderson. Read more
