Very enjoyable experience, worthy of 5 stars with a few caveats. The Old Town Tavern is comfortable and welcoming, and the... service was outstanding. The beer list is respectable and includes favorites and unique options as well. Menu is impressive andthe food we ordered was very good. Feedback on the menu: the queso cheese used in the nachos has great flavor, and would beperfect for dipping chips. Poured over the nachos, however, it turns the chips into a soggy mess before the plate is evendelivered to the table. Kind of a bummer. While this is clearly not a sports bar, you can watch the game at the Old Town. TheTV's are small and not too well placed however. This is probably why you can find a seat here during a home game. I was really looking forward to trying this place. It fails to mention that all street parking is closed. Garage parking is only... for monthly members till after 3. So visitors are not able to actually try this adorable place. I am so sad to say. I drove 45mins just to eat and have a drink here. Wish it woukd have mention it is for locals only. :( Read more
Good Reubens, drinks, service; perfect people watching spot!
The bar has a true "townie" ambiance. The hamburgers/chili are very good, however their "Nashville Chicken" special was very... disappointing. The breading was poorly adhered and it was very heavy with oil, leaving a 3-4 tbs puddle on the bottom of myplace. 4.5 stars if I could leave non-integer values. Read more
