We were excited to finally get some local Japanese food/ sushi. Wow, the staff did not care about the service. When we asked... for a fork and plates the manager scowled at us. The chicken was cold, the soup came out after the meal. When this was allmentioned to the waiter, he didn’t care. We were told that the wash staff was not working hard. There were three tables…half of the staff was on their phones, sitting at a table. Another tables stated to us that they thought they were the onlyones who were having problems until we mention that we got no service. When I mentioned this all to the waiter, he did not careand only swiped my card for payment. Management was horrible. Waiter was mediocre and the hot food was cold. I will neverreturn. My company will never return. Anthem needs better. Never again. Go to Tru Burger. They actually care about theircustomers and quality of food and service. I went to trapper's sushi for my third visit yesterday. It's just not worth it. The atmosphere is not really atmosphere, think... deli restaurant with TVs. The food is mediocre and it's a crapshoot whether you get a roll that is excellent or will fall apart.The service is horrible on a consistent basis. Example, the second time we visited with friends it took so long for our meal tocome that we almost got up and walked out. Yesterday my husband and I ordered some rolls and two drinks. The roles came in adecent amount of time but the drinks never showed. We asked again for the waitress to bring us drinks and she never did. Butworse, after we finished our food and she cleared the plates and we asked for the bill she came back with our food again andserved it to us as if we had never eaten. I don't mean to be cruel but I think this girl was missing a few marbles. I heardanother customer complaining about something and the girl behind the bar was adjusting his bill and apologizing so the lack ofservice is not just our experience. Never did bring our drinks and we decided we will not go back. What I find interesting isthat their company motto on the wall first sentence says learn the name of our customers and get to know them or something tothat effect never once in our three visits did anybody ask our names or be particularly friendly above and beyond any otherwaitress. I’m always hopeful when a new restaurant arrives in Anthem - I really wanted Trappers to be good. It wasn’t very good. The... service was friendly. The location and ambiance is fine. The food wasn’t presented well and lacked taste. The tempura shrimpwere mostly tempura and low quality tempura. Almost no shrimp. The Rainbow roll was sad and tired looking and had very littletaste. Our family made it today , we are glad we did. The staff was really friendly and made our first time there very enjoyable. We... went all in and try their buffet version. The different appetizers we tried were delicious, the miso soup and seaweed salad weremy favorites. Their selection of Nigiri is good and the pieces we tried were excellent. My son enjoyed several rolls, to includethe New York, veggie, rainbow and a crunchy one. They were excellent. I tried My Si, the Chrissy, rainbow, and Phoenix. Theymade me happy. The Chrissy is a vegetarian roll and was super delicious. My hubby tried about 4 rolls and was satisfied witheveryone of them. My little girl enjoyed the rice and seaweed. They even have a special on the weekend were kids eat free withthe purchase of a drink. In a few words , the food was excellent, flavorful, a huge variety to choose from and fresh. The staffwas super friendly. We enjoyed sitting at the bar and getting to know the sushi Chefs . Our waitress was so informative andpatient. I had received a recommendation to visit this joint before, and I am glad we did. I will definitely will return andbring friends.
