Great spot in Asbury, close to the beach and boardwalk. Lots of history (formerly the Student Prince where Bruce Springsteen met... the late Clarence Clemons). Spacious with a laid back, trendy vibe. Meatballs and Eggs in Purgatory were very good. Summer BettyPizza was delicious!! Porta is known as the restaurant that revitalized Asbury Park's dining scene. A must try for foodies atleast once. My only complaint and reason for only 4 stars was the mediocre service. Our waitress wasn't very friendly orwelcoming. Barely smiled and made no chit chat or banter. Seemed completely uninterested and like she didn't want to be there. Read more

Perfect. I’m embarrassed to say that this is the first time I have been to Porta. This place has been hyped for years and I... just couldn’t seem to get here, although I definitely wanted to. It more than lives up to, if not exceeds it’sreputation. Low-key. Down to earth. Very chill but hip vibe and the food was delicious. The flavor combinations were perfect. We had the margarita pizza and the summer Betty. Both blew us away and we are pizza snobs. Lol. We also had the -Hand rolledmeatballs, -Pesto and sun-dried tomato risotto, -the Billy Ocean (Squid ink fettuccine, PEI muscles and octopus, garlic andcapers) -The Gorgonzooch (fettuccini, Gorgonzola, arugula and Parmesan Reggiano) Each dish was nicely prepared, ample and fullof flavor. Service was excellent with food coming out in a timely manner and very friendly and informative. Greatrecommendations by our server. We will absolutely will be back. I’m actually kind of mad at myself for waiting this long tofinally get here. Do not make my mistake. It’s totally worth the trip!! Absolutely will be getting here more often. Newfavorite! Read more

Still one of the best Neapolitan style pizza places in New Jersey. Amazing that they can turn out so much food (large place) and... still keep it consistently good. We have been coming here for years and the quality has never let up. Read more

It is not fine dining, but a perfect place for a casual dinner????. Our daughter celebrated her birthday ???? with her friends.... This place is popular among her high school friends. The menu is not too vast, but they cook everything very well. We ordered afew Pies of pizza????, I ordered a Monday Night, which was a Gnocchi dish, and my little one ordered a Gorgonsootch. Forappetizers, we ordered fried calamari, and bread ????with fresh mozzarella. Everything was delicious. I do recommend makingreservations, because this place is very busy and wait times could easily be over an hour during rush hours. Read more

I had my wedding at Porta and it was perfect!! The whole team was amazing…Chandler, Elizabeth, Peyton, DQ! The food (pizza,... passed apps, Nutella pizza, fresh mozzarella) was delicious. We used Jersey Shore Florist for the flowers and they were betterthan I could have imagined. Porta makes the whole process very easy…from adding on a floral archway, to naked cakes withflowers, to pizza tastings, to disco balls lighting up the whole room, and animals on the walls. Porta is also very reasonablecompared to everyone else’s prices. We had a wedding planner but you could do without one since they will have a team therefor you the entire time. We had 120 guests in the Monk room and Abbott room and that was the perfect amount. The only advice Iwould give is if you have some heavier set family members I wouldn’t put more than 8-9 people at a table so everyone can fitcomfortably. Read more
