My husband made a reservation here for my birthday. Despite it being busy, we were seated early and ordered some wine, the... cheese board, and the confit garlic. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu without beingintrusive. For entrees we got the steak frites and steak au poivre- both were delicious and cooked to order exactly asrequested. My only real complaint was regarding the vegetables served with our entrees, that were cabbage heavy and generallylooked sad and unappetizing. Delicious french restraunt in the Asheville area. Entrees had generous portions. Thursdays have steak tar tar and sweetbreads.
The place is beautiful decorated at the heart of Asheville downtown. The salad of beef and nuts is excellent. For main we had... the duck, chicken, salmon and beef. The best one was the chicken. Don?t miss the Cream brûlée for desert. Service was perfect,fast and attentive. Read more

Rounded up from 4.5 My girlfriend took me to Bouchon for my first taste of french food and I couldn't be happier! We highly... recommend the ravioli du homard, le canard a'lorange Chocolate (duck), steak au poivre, and the house red wine. We had anotherwine that was on the list first but the house was definitely better even though it was cheaper. Deducted half a star for theveggies that came with the steak. They were definitely undercooked and unseasoned. The fries that came with the steak were goodthough, as were the sides that came with the duck. Service was good and parking was relatively straightforward (thoughadmittedly we had a late reservation). Definitely worth a visit if you are in Asheville. Read more
