My boyfriend and I dined at Vivian during Sunday brunch. I was really looking forward to the experience cause I?d heard only... wonderful things about the restaurant, but unfortunately we felt the food was just average. I ordered the shrimp kedgeree andmy boyfriend ordered the fisherman?s breakfast. We both ordered a biscuit. We felt the shrimp kedgeree and fish (from thefisherman?s breakfast) were extremely under seasoned. Also, the rice (kedgeree) was a bit undercooked; it was crunchy. And wefelt the biscuits were overcooked. The biscuits had a great flavor, but were hard. On a positive note, the potatoes and eggswere cooked perfectly, the plating was beautiful, and the service was great! I?m hoping we just visited on an off day. Read more
Great brunch, the deep fried chicken biscuit was perfection, great breading, perfect runny fried egg, flakey laminated not... overly buttery biscuit, and generous portion with great service and atmosphere. Will return. Coffee was excellent as well. Read more
What a great dinner! We had the deviled eggs, the steak and two desserts! Service was amazing and food extremely satisfying!
We loved our experience at Vivian! We had a seat in the window and it was perfect to enjoy our drinks, food and watch the world... go by. The pastries were light and fluffy. The deviled eggs were define, perhaps the best I have ever had. The lox was super funand in a preparation that is like no other. Then we finished off with our mains of the smoked lamb eggs Benedict and quiche. Thequiche was very flavorful and the lamb brought a nice touch to the dish. Highly recommend getting a side of potatoes if itdoesn?t come with your dish. The owner is absolutely delightful and will likely be there to greet you. Great little gem in thearts district! Read more
