Stopped here "by accident" intending to go to Ruby's next door, which was closed. Turns out it was fortuitous. The food here is... delicious, the service friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed the beer my husband and I shared (though I have no idea what heordered!) The food: first, the pretzel was amazing. My teen ordered it so the parents only got small bites, but oh my was it'sgood. It came with a nice cheesy dipping sauce that was way better than typical (though my experience with cheese dipping saucesisn't extensive). Sliders: teen loved them, though wolfed them down so fast I'm not sure he tasted anything! Came with a smallbut nice looking salad. Brisket Bahn Mi (sp?) -- I got this on the recommendation of the woman running the front. OMG -- one ofthe best sandwiches I've ever had! It was served with a dipping broth like a French dip. The crunchy roll was perfect fordipping. Whatever was on the sandwich for a spread, plus some maybe pickled veggies (I forgot to peek inside I was so anxiousfor each next bite) was so good I wanted it to last forever. The meat was very tender and tasty. These people know what they aredoing. Cubano -- my husband ordered this and thoroughly enjoyed it. I took a taste and it was great, but I cannot report morebecause I completely forgot about it eating my Bahn Mi, lol. It was excellent, though. Nachos -- my daughter ordered this. Sheasked for no pico de Gallo, but got it anyway. But that wasn't a problem as it was in a pile on top, so easily removed. Thesenachos were unique and tasty. They were done with a cheese sauce rather than melted cheese, so they were a little "goopy" ratherthan crisp. But they came with a very good guacamole, some black beans, and shredded red cabbage which I've never had in nachosbefore, but what a great idea! It was also the biggest, most filling of the 4 main dishes. Over all I absolutely loved thisplace and hope to be back before we move on with our trip (we're from out of town). Read more

Great deck on quite street. Excellent beer, local wines and cider selection and knowledgeable staff. Limited menu but food is... good. Ruby's will deliver food to Gil's patrons. Read more

I ordered the nachos and unfortunately there was a hair on the sour cream. That by itself is ok, it happens, not a big deal.... What was really disappointing was the staff response. They did not seem to care at all. We were being polite and didn't reallymake a stink about it, but I didn't think we should have to throw a fit to get taken care of in that situation. We already paidat the counter up front so I guess there wasn't anything to do. The bahn mi was really really good, but I doubt we'll be back. Read more
