We came for lunch. Got attacked by flies. The food was good but the portions were small for the price. I ordered the steak salad... that had **maybe** 4 oz of steak on it. It wasn?t bad, but I don?t think I?d make a conscious effort to come back again unlessthe Briquettes BBQ place down the street is closed again, which is why we ate here. Read more
Fantastic food and fitted us a group of 7 in without a reservation. Only 1 small gripe, the waitress came around with the Bill... and to go boxes and I was still eating my meal. Don't know if that's a thing up here but its not in the UK. Would highlyrecommend especially the med linguine. Read more
we got seated right away. we got the crab cakes for our appetizer. They were smaller than I expected but the presentation and... the flavor made up for it emensly. next time i wont share lol. We just went for a cocktail. Awesome seating with the outdoor open space between the brick buildings. We got a blackberry... mojito, holy water, cherry whip, spicy margarita...Great prices on the cocktails. We ate the Brussels Caesar salad (too manycroutons) and a side of mac-n-cheese...delicious! All burgers can sub an IMPOSSIBLE burger (so tasty)! The mozzarella stickswere fat and wonderful (hard to go wrong here, but better than your average mozzarella sticks) Service is always in point.Appetizer selection is fairly limited. Our first time at the Halcyon- we didn't know what to expect. Came in on a Sunday afternoon, and it wasn't too crowded, but we... chose to sit at the bar area. Small, and comfortable bar/restaurant. They did have a drink menu with plenty of choices! As forthe food menu, we found it to be limited, but adequate enough to please everyone. We ordered the mozzarella sticks, the crabcakes, a strip steak with brussel sprouts and potatoes, and a shrimp dinner with Mac and cheese. Both dinners came with salads.All in all, everything was FANTASTIC! Great food and service. We will return. Read more
