S & S Calabro is practically an institution in in this Astoria community and possibly the best pizza in the area. With it's... uniquely thin pizza style, zesty sauce and just the right amount of cheese, you won't be able to just eat one. I highlyrecommend this pizza. A MUST TRY. Read more
The Pizza was disgusting sauce is not savory at all and as u can see in the pictures lots of air bubbles on pizza. Like I?ve... never seen so much air bubbles on a pizza before. The pizza was average, but the chicken wings were disgusting. Maybe I was wrong to order wings from a pizza shop, but I figured... if they were on the menu, they knew how to make them. I was so wrong. I asked for the wings to be extra crispy, and so theirsolution was to place the wings in an aluminum tin and bake them in their oven. So instead of extra crispy wings, I got wingsthat were stuck to the bottom of the aluminum tin and still really fatty. I ordered the hot wings, but there was no sauce andit looked like they just sprinkled pepper flakes on the wings. I don't know how this place has been open for so long with theway they make food. Maybe it's a different owner? I don't know. But what I do know is that I won't be ordering from thisplace again. Read more
