Love the Butt Hutt! The Butt Plate (pulled pork) is fantastic! Some of the best Brunswick Stew I have had in quite some time and... the Mac & Cheese was great, cheesy, creamy, awesome! You've got to try their chicken and ribs, too! This is the classic,southern, BBQ joint. The sweet tea and service is spot on, too! Friendly staff, portions were great for price of food. Only criticism was the brisket was dry. Possibly because I got part of... the flat and not the point, it was still delicious and tender, however I like my brisket to be juicy. Read more
6/08/2022 Took my mom to a doctor?s appointment Athens today. I didn?t have to ask. She wanted Butt Hutt. I got the Rib plate... and her the Rib Basket. The difference between the two is the Plate gets two sides. Mom says they?re the best ribs she?s had. Iguess she should know. She was quite the cook in her day. Me? Ribs and Brisket are lost on. The ribs were good. Best I?ve everhad? Who knows. I have the Vinegar BBQ sauce. I can say my mom?s Vinegar BBQ beats theirs hands down. Sorry, it?s true. Theirsis ok. All in all, still 5 ?? s. Previous: Went with my mom and wife today. Mom lives in Gainesville now, but we had an errandthere, and took her. She alway loved Butt Hutt. Hadley was our server. She was very friendly, courtesy, attentive, and friendly.I hope she sees this. My wife and I had been taking in the way to mom?s that we?d like bbq sometime soon.
