Very underwhelming. I decided to order Mexican food via UberEATS. Maybe that's where I made a mistake, doing take out. Some food... you just cannot do take out and get the experience or the flavor that you were expecting. I ordered two veggie tacos, twoshrimp tacos, three Birria tacos, and rice and beans. Everything was packaged nicely. It came with the condiments and such theyusually come with these dishes however the tacos itself had zero flavor or seasoning. I was waiting for the flavors to bloom inmy mouth and it just didn't happen. I didn't taste the onions, garlic, cilantro or other seasonings. It just didn't happen forme. I was disappointed which is rare. The portion size in these tacos was a bit light as well. They barely had any filling inthem. I went through the plate within like 5 minutes honestly. I got the al pastor tacos with onions and cilantro and they were amazing! Loved it! Along with a horchata. :) will come again!
On 9/3/2022, our group of 4 people wanted a quick lunch before going to the Atlanta Farmers Market. We didn't know that most of... the other restaurants along Central Avenue were closed for lunch on Saturday. I walked into Don Chon to find a quaint old-styleeatery, clean with wonderful aromas in the air. The menu was diverse with typical, but authentic selections. We ordered and wereso pleased when lunch was placed on the table. OMG ? the food was delicious! I would definitely return for an awesome meal nexttime I?m in the area. Read more
Wow! I'd come here just for those incredible salsas! Love the authenticity of this place. The woman who took my order then went... in the kitchen and began preparing it. Also loved the plates of limes and cut cucumbers and radishes. Tacos were wonderful tooespecially enhanced by that fantastic avocado jalapeño salsa. I'm honestly so full I can't move and where else can you getdinner for under $10 these days prepared from scratch. Delicious! I have to agree, this place is a treasure!
