Went on Mon/15th and sat in the bar. The fish and chips were delicious! I had a long flight/drive/day at work and I appreciated... very much they accommodated us and even allowed us a little past closing for an end of day meeting. Bar staff was upbeat andattentive. We stopped here earlier this week on our way home from a short family vacation. The food was very good and the server was... pleasant. My son left his wallet in the booth - we called the next day and the manager confirmed they had it and he mailed itback to my son. That?s outstanding customer service. Just what you would expect from Central Massachusetts. Friendly people, good food/service, nothing pretentious, great value. We... enjoyed it so much we came here two nights in a row. Fish and chips is excellent, as others have mentioned. But get it withtheir fabulous onion rings. Even with a large group the second night, food and service was perfect. Every dish came out of thekitchen piping hot. Water glasses never went empty, drinks were good and nicely priced, and both waitresses we had were realhoneys. They didn?t flinch when encountering our worn out menu jokes. Strawberry shortcake would?ve been even better with freshlocal strawberries, but the way they serve it is how I remember it as a kid.
