This place is amazing! The food might come out a little slow at times due to lack of staffs but their service is always amazing!... The owners are super nice and friendly! As for the food, I have been here a couple of times and loved everything I tried, veryauthentic Vietnamese food. Read more

Let me preface this by saying that I am well traveled and that I have always enjoyed the taste of good food and have always been... one to look for something I will remember. There is a reason why many people think of a last meal in our final moments, and whya good meal can take us back in time into our memories. The smells and flavors that we experience form direct links to ouremotions and memories. East to West cost this is by far the best vientnamese restaurant that I have ever tried. I for one cannotbelive I am saying this about a place in Rochester Michigan of all places since you would expect that a meal like this has toonly be available in a big coast city, but to my pleasant surprise it is indeed found here. It's not just the generous portionsor the diversity of flavors offered here. It's the knowledge that after a full year of living here and trying nearly every dishon the menu (even some not on it) I have never once been disappointed. The complexity of aromas and colors that accompany someof the dishes such as the pork belly Claypot or the fish and lemongrass hotpot. As someone who has always traveled and beenaround many friends who have made their home away from Vietnam. I can honestly say this truly is a taste of its wonderfulfood. Oakland Students check out the Bahn mi and don't forget to ask for a fried egg in it. Can't beat a sandwich like that forthe price with a truly delicious taste. Read more

First, let me start by saying, my co-workers and I have been eating here frequently since they opened. It's a family owned,... family ran restaurant by a husband and wife team. The two are extremely kind and ALWAYS willing to do what they can to ensure agood experience by customers. I've never had a meal that I didn't enjoy here and I've never had a problem with an order. Theprice is reasonable and the atmosphere is comfortable. I read a negative review that was recently posted about the Taste ofVietnam, and it was VERY obvious that the post was a fake. Unfortunately, there are a number of people now leaving horrible fakereviews for restaurants and then blackmailing the owners for money to delete the review. Fortunately, law informant has gotteninvolved and they've begun going after individuals who are involved in this criminal behavior. My advice is to look at themajority of the reviews, and then try it for yourself. Read more

NEVER AGAIN ! ! ! This place is disgusting! We ate here on 2 different occasions spaced nearly 6 months apart. BOTH times the... food tastes okay, its what you would expect from a small restaurant. But BOTH times we ordered the PHO, after 2 or 3 bites wefound BUGS and FLIES in our food. Its always 2 or more of them too not just 1. The first time it happened i found 10 small fruitflies in my bowl and 2 bigger ones after digging deeper. THE MORE U DIG THE MORE THERE WAS !!! We told them and they didnt makeus pay for our food. The 2nd time after 6 month we thought we would give them another chance. NOPE!! Same situation, but wedidnt even bother saying anything anymore. We just got up, paid for it and left. Pictures of the bugs are attached from bothoccasions. Read more
