WOW! We are really late learning about Rays! But this will definitely be our new Bar BQ joint! Like a review I read, the... outside isn't pleasing to the eyes, but the inside was very good, very clean and neat. Next time I will eat in! The young manthat took our order was very professional. He let us look at our food before bagging it and I must say, presentation iseverything! It looked just as good as it tasted! And the peach cobbler, amazing! Read more
Visited Augusta, GA for the first time over the weekend my husband and I. We were headed back to NC late Saturday and decided to... stop by Ray's for my husband to grab some lunch after a disappointing breakfast. At first glance of the building it wasdeceiving of the delicious food that awaits you on the inside. He went in and came back to the truck with his food. Opened itand it looked amazing. He allowed me, lol to taste his ribs which was so tender and delicious and I got a little carried awaywith his food that it led me into Ray's to order my own. Try It! You will enjoy it as we did. I must say this is the best food I have eaten since I've been in Augusta. I am known as a great cook so most people feel... my expectations are too high. However I just wanted something fulfilling and I got that today. I wish I had known about this restaurant earlier. Trust me I will be back. My new favorite BBQ joint. The place appears worn out, but looks are Very deceiving. Hands down the best brisket and ribs I've... had in years. The sides are fantastic as well (glazed sweet potatoes!). Also tried the 'short ribs' (AKA burnt ends) and so muchflavor (little dry, but flavor made up for it).
