We are coming from Austin for vacation and found Halal guys original from NY. My kids want to try and we all loved it. We got... combo plater regular size was good enough for 2 people and taste was so so Good. Customer service also very good. Good nice andclean Restaurant. Hey. So The Halal Guys food was quite underwhelming. I don't know what all the fuss is except that it's just about one of the... first restaurants of this genre to go (small scale) national. Ordering could not be done ahead unless you use their app ororder on their website. The app glicthed out and didn't work. The website worked fine. I don't agree with the need to enter yourpersonal and financial information to be able to place an order (for take out). That pretty much had me at a huge disappointmentand Debbie downer'd, but I was ready to be wow'd. Once I arrived I found that the order was ready. The restaurant was clean,including the bathrooms. If you're looking for this type of food, it's probably the closest Halal restaurant to DenverInternational Airport. But if you're looking for great taste, then that may be something else. The food is not horrible it'sjust rather bland. The lettuce and tomato could use some kinda flavor on it. But if you're going to smother it with the 300calorie per-packet white sauce then have at it. I didn't use that.. too caloric for me. I just so happened to have some TacoBell sauce packets in the car that I topped on the platter. Again, maybe I missed the whole taste of the meal by not putting thesauce. A unique Halal Guys item. I am from the East Coast. And I miss the trips to NYC going to the small Halal food cart onthe street corner to get a 7 or 8$ meal. Those are great. But somewhere along the way the Halal Guys food changed? I nevertasted it when it was still in those street side vending booths. But I've had food that tasted better there. The bread wasdoughy. Nothing special at all. The chicken was seasoned well-ish. I just won't be going back. Thanks for the service and beingthere when I was hungry and waiting for a friend to pick up from the airport. But I think (I know some) people who know wellthis particular menu pallet and they have choices may opt on going elsewhere. Read more
I just found this place, and I am IN LOVE! So freaking good. I had the large beef gyro platter, and it is wonderful, filling,... and a great value. I got double meat, but then I could not eat it all, and I am a 240-pound man. 10/10. Down load the app fora one-time free drink and side with any entree. I will be eating here a lot. Read more
Google said it was a 20 minute wait and it was busy but I was the only one there. Sometimes the busy times aren't correct... especially after a few months after opening. They were open 30 minutes so everything was fresh and I had excellentservice. This was my first time there but it won't be my last. I ordered the beef and chicken combo platter. The white sauce isthe truth but next I'll go with white and bbq sauce. Clean and bright environment. A modern throwback design. There was handicapspaces and plenty of parking. Honestly this is the 7th ?The Halal Guys? location I?ve been to, so I?m not new to their food. I?m not lying when I say I was... literally drooling on my 6+ hour drive here from NM, just because I knew we were stopping here. So this review could be biasedBUT literally? the workers here were 10/10 sweet, funny, kind, and personable. They actually knew what I wanted when I said ?fryplatter? (had to explain that at 2 other locations), and it turned out amazing? The sauce was fantastic, but man watch out forthat red! The heat can very hard on location (NY cart is unreal), but this location definitely had our eyes watering with 2lines, and so the workers were kind enough to add more white as we joked with them. I literally bought a cooler for the driveback, and before leaving bought 50+ packets of sauce to take home. The didn?t have the BIG white sauce bag, but hopefully nexttime we come back, they will.
