What a great experience! Met friends from Springfield here because it?s 1/2 way between us. Great atmosphere and service truly... couldn?t have been better. I had the pork tenderloin sandwich (wow!) and others had sandwiches, ribs or a brisket platter. Allof it was so good. After we ate, we wanted to visit some more so sat outside at a picnic table. No one rushed us off, rathermultiple people asked if we needed a refill, even after we were outside. Oh, and the seasoning on the fries- yummy. Read more
We just moved to Missouri from Texas. Throw a rock in Texas and hit at least two or three great barbecue choices. Hog Tied... would beat most every one of them. Great menu, good counter ordering process then brought out to table. All the meats topnotch, all the sides are good to great. Prices are fair. Enough said - go there, get fed and leave happy. This has been a place that I have over looked for 3 years and hadn't given a second thought due to my own misgivings about the... last BBQ that I had eat in town until today when I was out with my wife and daughter.... AND I'm A Dang fool for have passingthis place off as the typical everyday BBQ establishment. I have to say if you pass this place up thinking you can findbetter..... GOOD LUCK. I have been all around the country state after state and have eaten at some of the most famous BBQrestaurants in the USA just to find out that HOG TIDE BBQ STANDS with the very best of them and above most on all point Taste,texture, tender, proper persention, service, as well as hospitality and not far from my own back yard. Hands down some of the best barbecue I?ve ever had. We arrived about 7pm on a Friday, it?s the type of place you order and then... sit down but there was seating as soon as we ordered. I had the smoked Turkey breast with the potato salad and the broccolisalad. The Turkey had a wonderful smoked flavor! The potato salad was fresh and definitely homemade. The broccoli salad waswonderful as well. My wife had the smoked the chicken sandwich with fried okra and pork rinds. The chicken sandwich also had agreat flavor, the pork rinds were the best I?ve ever had and the fried okra wasn?t the pre-prepared stuff - definitely handbreaded and fried. My daughter had the catfish and it may be some of the best I?ve had - great cornmeal flavor. She also hadfried okra and cole slaw, the cole slaw was fresh and homemade as well.
