Amazing food but every single time I take the drive (30 minutes) to come here they are closed. I came here twice within 1 week... and they are closed. First time I came I checked their Instagram page after the drive and they posted they were closed forcatering (my mistake for not checking). Came again today 11/23 and have been purposely checking their Instagram all throughoutthe day and they did not post they were going to be closed. Took the drive just to see the sign they were closed on the truck. Please communicate better with your customers or you will start to lose them! Read more

How many times do you eat in a day? Venezuelans have 3 main meals: a large breakfast, a large dinner (around noon) and a light... supper in the evening. Their food is influenced by European, West African and Native American traditions. Their social cultureis very much like Asian cultures - collaborative, community based and collectivist. So if you visit someone in Venezuela theywill feed you! Cachapas is one of their most popular dishes and my favorite too. It is a thick, tasty pancakes made from maize(sweetcorn) and served with a slab of white cheese called ?queso de mano?, topped with lashing of margarine. The sweetness ofthe maize and the creaminess of the cheese paired. Add a bit of pulled pork or shredded beef and it provides an explosion offlavors from the texture and saltiness of the meat. Cachapas in Venezuela?s culinary history dates back to pre-Colombian times. The indigenous people used stone pestles to grind corn and cook it on clay budares flat griddle plates cachapa-style. Originallyonly made by the locals in the state of Bolivar, you can now enjoy it right here at Budare?s on Burnet. It was lovely to meetCarmen at Budare?s. They have been serving Authentic Venezuelan food in Austin for several years now. They were the firstVenezuelan food truck in Austin and they paved the path for others to open as well. We can delightfully say we have addedanother Venezuelan favorite to our list alongside @auroravenezuelanfood Read more

My wife and I have lived in Texas for just over a year. We have gone to three Venezuelan food trucks. Budares, is by far the... best. Family owned and the family is amazing. This location is ran by the mother and she is supported by her three boys. Theyhave the most delicious tequeños or cheese sticks, chicken rice bowl and my favorite, their empanadas(made withcornmeal????)!!! If you are in ATX. Do yourself the favor and stop by Budares!!
