Since the last time I visited, they've opened up the room with the stage to the outdoors so there is more outdoor seating, but... still most of it is covered and has fans. The back patio is really lovely with shade and small rocks under picnic tables. Thestaff was very friendly and helpful! It was one of my favorite places to have a good coffee. however, a restaurant also has to be complemented with good service and... security for its customers. One day, when I went out to the cafe's parking lot, my car was already damaged. For years this coffeehouse was my go to in Austin for great coffee. The quality of the products they use, the skill of their... baristas, and the convenience of their service all are unparalleled. As a former barista of about 7 years myself I know this isnot an easy task, and the folks at Cenote do it very consistently. If you want the best for your money, go here. I really wanted to like this place more. As a first time customer the girl where you order was pretty condescending. The rest of... the staff was great. Maybe put her in the back. I got a regular coffee and it was so tepid the sugar wouldn't melt and ittasted bad. But one of my companions had an iced caramel latte and it was delicious. The food was good, but 2 of us werefinished eating before the other 2 even got their food. We got there before it got busy, so not sure, with so much kitchenstaff, what the problem was.
