Not sure why this place is so lowkey?? Catfish, potatoe salad and mac n cheese were awesome!!! Could use more cheese but the... catfish was AMAZING! Flaky, crispy and the crust was connected to the catfish! I ordered the wings but got the catfish and itdid NOT disappont. ???? Read more
I just got back from eating here and I'm immediately reviewing it. It was that good. The owners and family members prepared... and served the food. They were kind and helpful... busy but slowed down enough to explain everything. The food... the brisketwas right out of the smoker and was some of the best I've had. The sausage was excellent. The greens were soft and delicious;chopped and excellently stewed. There was a sense of community here too. We watched on as some folks celebrated a birthdayparty and prayed for each other. We ordered our Thanksgiving dinner from them since we were staying home for the holiday and didn't want to cook. We learned on... the day we were supposed to pick everything up that they had had a hiccup in their production process and we wouldn't be able topick it up that day. They were very apologetic and offered to drop it off to our house as soon as everything was ready. On topof delivering it, they also ended up giving us extra food. Good food good people great service. Like the welcoming upon entering specially when they have a smile on their faces it shows... the love that goes into making such nice and flavorful smoked meats and fried fish. My wife loved the fact that they havestrawberry cake with the strawberry frosting that something you cant find very often, like their banana pudding with real bananaand vanilla wafers yumm.
