I should have read the reviews first. Restaurant ok. Nothing special inside. The egg rolls were different. Not what I expected... but they were ok. Not bad. The pad thai was disgusting! It was like a wet mess. It wasn?t like the pad Thais I?ve had in thepast. It was a wet soupy mess. It was very tomatoey? like a spaghetti sauce. Not a peanut sauce. I personally did not like it atall. I don?t know what they were thinking ? Is the Vietnamese version?! I wasn?t impressed. I felt so guilty spending so muchmoney and not being able to eat even 1/4 of it. I ate all the chicken and shrimp and ate around it. I?m sure they have otherbetter plates but not this one. I should?ve gotten a broth. Anyhow, I was disappointed! Also, they don?t let you take thechopsticks home! Even though you just ate with them and had them in your mouth with saliva!!! Just unheard of! I don?t know Ileft with the thought of not returning again?. Yo be honest. I would like my money back. Read more

Currently my favorite Asian restaurant. I?ve been here before but now that I live closer I?m coming more. Lots of choices. Very... patient service and willing to help you with the menu. Good prices. Atmosphere and Aesthetic are calm and restful and open andspread out with lots of light and elevated from the street for good views while you dine in. Read more

I try to stop by here when I'm in town. Great portions of awesome food. I got the tofu pad Thai this time. Came out fresh in... under 10 minutes. Out of similar shops in the area, I recommend this place for a quick, casual bite every time. Read more

This place is central to my relationship with one of my best and oldest friends. We started going to the Pho Thai Son on Oltorf... back in the early 2000s and have been to a handful of their locations in and around the Austin area for the last twenty years. Ican't speak to their other dishes because we always get the same thing, but their lemongrass tofu vermicelli bowl and theirspring rolls are wonderful. I have just recently moved out of state and my monthly lunches with my bestie at Pho Thai Son willeasily be in the top three things I will miss about living in central Texas. The food is delicious, the service is wonderful andfriendly. You can't beat this place. Read more
