Love everything about this place, but especially the sourdough bread. My go-to is the Santa Cruz grilled chicken sandwich, also... love their soups and pastries and tea. I live in South Austin but I try to visit every time an errand brings me north of theriver. Read more
Had the best lunch here yesterday! I was having issues with my uber eats app so I was worried that my food would be cold and... soggy. The employee here was so nice and remade my sandwich so it could be fresh! On top of it all, it their tuna focacciasandwich was outstanding and the clam chowder was the best I?ve had in years! The soup and sandwich combo was the perfect lunch. The Santa Clara sandwich tasted fresh and the clam chowder soup was very good... as well. The only problem is that the prices are a bit steep. For example, if you get the soup separately, you pay over $6 for asmall (8 oz) cup, which would not be enough on its own, so in the end you either have to get a large soup or a combo.
