Maybe just don't come for lunch? This place is right next to my office so I thought I'd give it a try. The first thing I noticed... upon walking in was the smell. Unfortunately, it resembled old mop water, my first sign to maybe reconsider. But nope, I saw itthrough and took a seat at the bar. I ordered the chirashi off the lunch menu. It came with a miso soup, which came out about 10minutes after ordering. This was one of the strangest, worst miso soups I've ever had. It was full of chunky, roughly cut greenonions and had zero seaweed. On top of the off-tasting flavor, it was served at room temp. This is when I knew I was introuble. The chirashi came out. Weirdest presentation of chirashi I have ever seen. To my knowledge, chirashi is always servedin a bowl over fresh sushi rice. This place's presentation? A large dish with what appeared to be day old rice smushed down withall shapes and sizes of different cuts of fish on top of it. The fish did not taste fresh and there were super strange garnishesof iced tea-sized lemon wedges sprinkled throughout the plate. Is this supposed to be an aesthetic thing? I'll neverknow. Yumm we were craving dim sum one football morning. We stopped by here and it didn?t disappoint. Taro fries healthy and sweet and... salty. Everything was good. Sichuan dumplings did have more dough. Oh no I didn?t take a picture of the ha cao or shrimp porkdumplings. Those were so thick and juicy I forgot to take a snapshot and we ate them all. Loved my noodles. I will come back toget that to go sometime. Friendly host and waitress/ers. We had a fun and delicious experience. Enjoy!! Read more
