Chef Mike is a breath of fresh air. In a world of funky experimental sushi or all you can eat monstrosities full of cream cheese... and spicy mayo, the experience at Tsuke Edomae is a total departure from the hyper Americanized sushi experience. Chef Mike'sfood is a very pure distillation of excellent technique, fantastic ingredient sourcing, and absolute dedication to the craft. Ienjoy and respect what some other chefs in the area are doing, but if you want to explore what incredible sushi can be withoutthe over the top ingredient selections like caviar, truffles and gold leaf contaminating it, make a reservation. There's areason you're probably not getting in any time soon. Read more

Overall, great sushi and wonderful experience. Keep in mind this is edomae style so the chef takes a more traditional... (Tokyo-origin) approach to the fish and the rice. Read more

Amazing, a must experience for sushi lovers. I have been at least four times and each visit is exceptional and unique. The food... will blow you away, but this is more about the experience. Chef Mike and his lovely partner are the reason you will rememberthis evening. A small intimate setting for maximum 8 people which provides you with a culinary experience worth more than theprice you will pay. Read more

Mike is not just a chef but an artist. I have never seen such passion from a sushi chef before. The details he puts in the... entire experience was something I?ve never had before at omakase. The fact that his sushi rice has to be used within 45 minutesand if it?s longer than that he will throw it away. I could literally taste every grain of the rice. The fish itself were sofresh and well prepared. This was a super intimate setting with 8 seats only. If you get the opportunity to score a reservation, don?t miss out. It?s something you?ll probably see once. Read more
