My friend is a top-notch food critic, and I asked her to recommend the best Austin restaurant for my trip there. She recommended... Uchi, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. We spent hours at Uchi tasting various dishes recommended by our waiter basedon our preferences that we shared with her prior to dinner. This is called omakase, which I highly recommend. I couldn’t eventell you everything we ate, but I can tell you that the crab and oysters were some of the best ever, and that the grand finalewas some steak sushi with a bit of wasabi on the top. Incredible! We are vegan and they were not only accommodating, but every dish was amazing and served to perfection! Beautiful,... flavorful, and complex in every bite. We celebrated our 9 year anniversary tonight and they surprised us with multiple itemsbased on what we liked.
