Amazing food. Slightly hectic because of the popularity of it, but service was great and suggestions were perfect each time. We... had a wide variety of the menu and really enjoyed each round. Outstanding sushi experience. Quality is off the charts and the imagination behind the dishes surprises you even if you’ve had... that dish before. Larger than its counterpart, Uchi, so you won’t feel as sardined into the main dining area. Staff is veryknowledge and happy to guide you as you work your way through the menu. My only critique was that our meal for 4 took us about2.5 hours because of lengthy delays between dishes. By far, the best restaurant and food experience my wife and I have ever had. We are very particular about where we get... Asian/Japanese food from, and took a chance at Uchiko. The second we got there, our expectations were met, and the experiencekept getting better. The complimentary valet was great, and asked if we had a reservation before we even got out of the car,something that doesn't happen often. The host were on point, getting us drinks while we waited for our table (we were early forour reservation and got sat early). But this pales in comparison to the amazing service we received from Jeremy. He helped usfind a great meal for us to enjoy based on our pallets and tastes, and every selection was amazing. 10 Stars!!! Read more

Living in Austin, I've always thought Uchiko is one of the two premier sushi places in Austin. The food, service and... presentation are always absolutely first-rate. After recently traveling to San Diego and experiencing two renowned sushirestaurants there (one recently obtaining a Michelin star), I can say this place is not getting enough national recognition. Thefood quality, taste/texture/temperature pairing of the food and the outstanding service are beyond parallel. I would chooseUchiko over the two renowned San Diego sushi restaurants every day of the week. Austin in general does not get enough attentionfor its Japanese cuisine, but that's a travesty.
