I've been here about a dozen times, but I won't be back after my last experience. I've always said that the beer is good and the... service is hit-or-miss, but the last time I was there, my group and I were disturbed to hear a man at a nearby table usingracial slurs loudly and repeatedly. I asked him to stop and he rolled his eyes and said, "Yeah, sure." As soon as I sat down, hestarted using racial slurs again. We were sitting about 30-40 feet away, so the man was not speaking quietly. My sister told thebartender about it and he said, "Okay, I'll slap them around a bit," and laughed. He didn't ask which table or which patron wewere complaining about. We left immediately after that, because it was clear that the bartender had no intention of asking thepatron to stop using the language he was using. None of us will be back. Read more

We stopped here on a beer tour and absolutely loved everything we tried. Their beer is so delicious! They're brewing on-site... and apparently have it figured out. Nice place too. I love the shaded outside seating with fans and misters. Read more

Uncle Billy's is an Central Austin treasure. The atmosphere here carries the day but a close second is their amazing and... innovative beer selection which is brewed in house. The BBQ is good to Texas style BBQ with a bit of a flare in unique disheslike nachos, burgers, salads, and of course by the pound. All in all its an Austin gem close to zilker park, downtown, andSouth Lamar. That being said... the desert is pretty much worthless. Ordered peach cobbler and buttermilk pie. They were putof buttermilk pie so we settled for the cobbler. They then told us they were out of the ice cream it comes with. We acceptedthat and got it to go. We got to the car and realized it was only peach soup. Took it back and they fixed it but upon arrival tothe house it was little better. Has some granola type crumbles on top as seen in the picture but it's really just peach soupwith canned peaches and half a natures valley bar crumbled on top. Guys please fix this! It's like having bad sweet tea; youjust can't because it's Texas. If you need an example walk over to Terry Black's where they have cobbler that is more thanedible. Let me know when I can delete this part of the review because you guys deserve 5 stars! Read more
