I work near Zax’s and eat there regularly. Good, consistent food. Great for lunch meetings, but sometimes hard to find easy... parking. I often walk from my office downtown. It’s a nice walk across the bridge from downtown. Daily specials are hit andmiss, but staff is professional and friendly. Read more
I hosted a company happy hour at Zax with more than 40 people in attendance. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my... group both before and during the event. Everyone enjoyed the great selection of beer, appetizers and dinner dishes. On apersonal note, I've been to Zax for small group dinners many times over the past year. This is my 'work lunch' treat to myself. They have really good sandwiches, and huge portions. The full sized BLT or whatever... they call it is large enough that you can eat half at lunch and take the other half home. I do sometimes feel that they aren'tpaying attention to their orders. I one time ordered a sandwich with a substitution. It came out wrong and the waiter saidsomething to the likes of , oh sorry I just had 12 rubens come out, didn't mean to get one of them wrong.
