Everything I?ve had so far has been absolutely delicious, so good in fact that I went 2 days in a row to try more things on the... menu. Super clean, can smell the seasoning as soon as you walk in the door, and the service was amazing too. Order anything, youwon?t be disappointed. Read more
My goal is to visit as many soul food restaurants in NJ. This one was recommended and I must say it did not disappoint. It is a... family ran business and the owner and his children were very "crazy"( in a good way). The food was finger licking good and Iwill be back sooner than later. Read more
My first time here, and I really enjoyed it! This gave me real soul food vibes like I was back in the South! I tried the whiting... platter with the Mac and cheese and green beans. The fish was cooked exactly the way that I love it, firm but not overcooked!The Mac and cheese was made with a great homemade cheese sauce, and it wasn't over the top like some soul food restaurantofferings. The green beans were well seasoned and full of garlic. Again, it was just the way that I love them! Also, I tried thewings with the homemade garlic parmesan sauce, and they were worth the drive alone! Why I gave it 3 stars!!! I had the sticky wings & sweet heat wings those were good I?d give a 7/10 could of had more sauce ... and could of been a little more crispy The collard greens very little taste 3/10 The mac & cheese 3/10 it should be baked withmore love it was to plain for me The cabbage was to plain had very little taste 2/10 The fried whiting had a nice crunch goodtexture flavor was good wasn?t dry 7/10 The candy yams were delicious soft just perfect texture I?d give those 8/10 could puta little more brown sugar and butter over mine but over all good!
