It's kinda hard to rate this restaurant to be honest. I'll start with the good stuff and that is the food. The Barbacoa here is... awesome and the whole menu is a reminder of what used to be in Azusa that was Carmen's if you know it. Home style cooking at itsfinest as if you miss your mama's mexican cooking just stop on by here. I have lived nearby for years, driven by this place foreven longer and never been inside till it was recommended by my uncle. I mention Carmen's because it was our favorite for yearssince we came here from Mexico and this place is definitely a reminder of that. Now a couple things to mention that might beconsidered bad but I say it's room for improvement. There's no restaurant out there without cons to their pros and I'll try tobe as fair as possible. The service itself can be great although I like one lady who we always try to get to serve us for hercharming personality and she takes care of everything I always make sure to leave a hefty tip. It can be slow sometimes to getseated and served, technically you can just seat yourself where you like but it's confusing to stand there and not know theirprocess and it takes just as long to get noticed when you're seated so that can be something to improve if possible. BE WARNEDthis place is closed probably more than half the time. Especially on Sundays, I'm confused if it's open for breakfast and menudothen they close for the afternoon and evening or if they are completely closed but it seems that half the time that we driveover to see if it's open it's closed which is unfortunate. Maybe it's for religious reasons to close on Sundays but I woulddefinitely like to spend my afternoon or evening after church there. It's generally confusing and uncommon for restaurants toclose even later during the day on Sundays which are high time for eating out with the family. The silverware and drinkingcontainers and plates and whatnot could also be improved or changed. Unfortunately I've had to send Read more

Very nice staff, but the food was subpar. I had the chorizo and eggs breakfast, it was somewhat bland. The hooter salsa was... great. My wife had huevos rancheros and it was a soupy mess of a dish, with no salt/seasoning. Read more
