Better than than any BBQ place I have eaten including really good BBQ places in Texas. And with a lot better side dishes and... menu options. Had grits and fried okra as sides and really not expecting much and both of which were delicious. I honestly don'tunderstand the rating of 4.4. It should be 5 stars! Read more

I usually get the bowl which comes with 2 sides and your choice of meat. My regular are the ribs, I like that they are not... smothered in barbecue sauce, they have a dry rub on them and you get the sauce on the side. Their potato salad has quite a bitof dill and I enjoyed the taste however my kids thought it was too "pickled-y". Their chilly beans and mack & cheese are alsodelicious... I've tried the pull pork salad and it came with a lot of meat which I didn't care too much for but I think it mayhave been that the meat was kinda cold. At first I thought it was too expensive but honestly the portions are huge so I think isworth it. For desert don't forget the beignets. -Check out their website for the full menu and sign up to get a coupon on yournext order. Read more

If your fan have good old fashioned Southern cooking, this is the place for you. With so many other barbecue places popping up... in town. This place specializes in what would be considered home style cuisine with a slight restaurant flare. The food iscomforting, delicious, priced right? Right. If you haven't done yourself a favor lately, come down here and check it out. Read more

I've been in California for 3 months and I've been looking for legit Tri-Tip. Finally found it at Angry Barnyard. What a great... place. The Tri-Tip was moist and juicy and spiced just right so as not to overpower the flavor of the meat. The meat stood onits own -- which it should -- without any sauce. But their sauces are delicious -- a traditional BBQ, a spicy BBQ, a Carolinahoney mustard, and a mayo based sauce with a hint of horseradish that they call Alabama White, which paired best with theTri-Tip. The ribs were good, too. Tender with a crispy molasses bark. Again, the ribs were good just as they are, but pairednicely with the traditional style sauces. The sides were well done, the cornbread was spot on with just a dab of butter on top. They even had sweet tea. Highly recommended. 2 thumbs ???? I'll definitely be back. Read more

There are a couple of Kern County BBQ joints where you can't go wrong. This is one of them. Indulge the Mac n Cheese. All the... meats are excellent. I wish the website would let me order drinks and dessert. Since I usually pay online, once at the storeI'm less inclined to want to ring up the drink and dessert separately. Great people. Attention to detail (utensils on takeout); clean small indoor space and a couple of outdoor tables if you are eating there. Read more
