Great food The battered mushrooms are amazing
This is both exactly what I had hoped for and better than I had expected. It's a small gastropub in an alley in downtown... Bakersfield, and my experience with those is that some are incredible and the others are so-so. This one falls into theincredible category; good, solid food and an interesting beer selection. If your idea of 5-star cuisine involves fine dining,this is not that -- but for a gastropub, it's definitely worth the trip. Their menu includes options ranging from tri-tip tolamb, chicken or duck, seared tuna, etc. They have small bites or salads as well as snacks. And if you're looking for fusiontacos, they have those too. Don't expect a large place with a lot of staff - this is a small family business with 2 people. The absolute best Burger in Bakersfield. The homeboy if you like a little spice.
We had a party of 8 and none of us had been there before. It seems to be more of a bar with some interesting food choices. Most... of us had fish and chips which was very good. One had a James cheeseburger which tasted good and one had fish tacos with atomatillo sauce. The staff was very nice and attentive to our needs. Read more
