Birthday dinner and excited to try, especially the scallops and crab cakes. They were out of scallops and crab cakes. So, we had... oysters, mushroom stew and catfish with paw paw pudding as dessert. We really wanted this to be outstanding, but it was justokay. It was 30 minutes between appetizers and entrée, and another 25 for pudding, so a LOT of sitting and waiting. The foodwas just okay. The catfish filet was delicious, but quite small for an entrée, and the potatoes and sauce around it were cold. The mushroom stew was knock-your-head-off garlicky (and we both love garlic). The best thing was the $8 sourdough bread. Servedwith tallow that desperately needed finishing salt. We wouldn't go again. Read more

I am mostly happy with my experience at Foraged. The highlights of my meal were the generous portion of the crispy pig's ears... and the crispy and tender pork belly. I consider these dishes to be almost perfect. The past though was disappointing. Therewas no complexity and what you tasted most was pasta itself, as if the sauce added no flavor at all. Having eaten pasta at aseries of fine dining establishments that specialize on Italian cuisine, that dish needs work. The fried squash blossoms werecrispy but the filling was flat, as if under-seasoned. More herbs and some acidity or something would work better there Thescallop dish was tasty but underweming for a main. It needs to be placed in the small dishes category since it had two mediumsized scallops. Another thing that my partner noted is that most dishes had corn. This repetitive theme showed lack ofcreativity instead of emphasizing seasonal ingredients. I think some things need some work but I would visit to try again atsome point. Read more

Came here tonight with my husband for his birthday and we were both VERY impressed with the food! The ambiance is adorable and... casual and our server was very friendly, we got all five vegetarian dishes on the current menu, as well as the squash blossomsand the panna cotta for dessert. The mushroom stew was both my and my husband's favorite! For me the squash blossoms were aclose second, and my husband loved the risotto. Our server made sure to inform us that the panna cotta contained gelatin, and weappreciated the consideration, as we had ordered vegetarian dishes. We will definitely be back! Read more
