My husband and I were visiting Sugar Mountain for the weekend and we're glad we discovered this BBQ joint. We ordered The Heavy... Hitter: Pulled pork, sausage, brisket, smoked turkey, smoked back ribs & four sides. (Fries, Potato salad, Mac & Cheese, andLimas w/ Bacon.) ALL the meats were excellent. Cooked and smoked perfectly and literally some of the most flavorful brisket I'veever had. The sides were ok, but not the best I've had. The meat definitely made up for this fact. (Also, the Limas did not havebacon.) The Banana Pudding for dessert was good. I knew ahead of time that it was fresh made (they had run out earlier) so ittasted much better the next day, after sitting in the fridge. We took a day trip up to Grandfather Mountain and just pick The Pedalin' Pig oh a whim.... best choice we could have made. BBQ... always hits the spot, but the blackened smoked wings, pork shoulder, and sweet potato fries were everything I didn't even know Iwanted for lunch. Absolutely cooked to perfection ????????. The food here was outstanding. Got hushpuppies as an appetizer, and they came with the best honey butter I have ever... had. Additionally I got the turkey bacon cheddar tacos with mac and cheese. In which both were absolutely amazing. I will beback here. 10/10 Read more
The food was good, the service was good, nothing overly outstanding about this barbecue. It was a good value especially... considering the location. I did miss having a hot sauce to put on the barbecue and as their spicy was mild to say theleast. The pork skins were remarkable with the dry rub seasoning. Read more
