Great all around Mainey experience. Lovely chill setting, very friendly and accommodating staff. The lobster chowder way... exceeded my expectations in unique taste profile. Everyone was happy with lobster roll and fish and chips. Will definitely comeback when it’s warmer to eat outside! Does get super packed! Read more

This place was the most perfect secret find! Based off the number of locals present in the restaurant, Abel's is a quality,... non-touristy spot. It serves the most delicious lobster rolls I've ever had with huge chunks of lobster. The staff was veryfriendly (our party included a toddler and two babies) and prompt. The cocktails were delicious (and beautiful), and they had adecent beer menu. The blueberry pie is good, but the house made maple whipped cream it comes with is better. And then on top ofall of that, every table in the restaurant boasts a beautiful view of the water. Prices are decent as Bar Harbor goes. We wentearly towards opening and were seated right away, but the wait list built up quickly, as it was raining and people weren'tsitting outdoors. There's a little hut next to the restaurant and outdoor seating where they keep the live lobsters and preparethem, which is a fun way to entertain kids while waiting for food to come. We would definitely dine here again. Read more

Came up the sound on our boat and stayed a few nights. My husband and I had dinner here and it was a fantastic experience! The... atmosphere is very relaxing as it is tucked on the hill side overlooking the water. The staff, and general manager we're veryattentive. The food was amazing. Lobster, Steamers, cornbread......cannot say enough. That was one of the freshest, tastiestlobsters I have had in a long time. The only complaint I have was that in the late afternoon the dining room is hot andstuffy(most customers eat outside). They need to open the windows and close the shades before the restaurant opens. I highlyrecommend this if you are the Acadia park area of Maine. Read more

I ordered takeout for lunch for a lobster roll, and was pleasantly surprised it came with fries and not a bag of chips like most... other places. This roll was the most upscale of all of the ones I tried on the island, and had microgreens on top of the roll. The fries were hand cut - and even came with the perfect size dipping container of ketchup. The location is so nice outsidewith all the picnic tables overlooking the water, and they had chairs outside which was a nice place to wait for my roll. Overall really great roll and meal! Read more

Where do I even begin. This experience was flawless. Right when we sat down, I knew I was in for a treat. The views are amazing!... I’ve included a few pictures in my review to showcase what I mean! Wow! Our waiter was awesome. He mentioned he lived inPortland for some time last year. He was extremely personable and very knowledgeable around each dish. Perfect service. Thefood was awesome. A few of us got lobster and it was incredibly fresh and everything you’d want from a Maine lobster. ???? Thesteamers were the best I have had. Steak was cooked how we wanted it. The home made lemon ice cream sandwiches stole the showfor dessert. Drinks were great. I got the smoked old fashioned and it was done right. Correct cherry, orange peel, didn’toverdue the bitters and the Smokey flavor was present. Others at the table got the Blueberry Margarita and that was done rightas well. After dinner we walked down to the dock and watched the sun set. It was a perfect night with family, one that willlive on in our memories. Thank you Abel’s for making it happen! Read more
