The food at Bardonia Oriental is truely exceptional. I have dined at many Chinese restaurants in Westchester and Rockland... County. The food here is very tasty and fresh. The staff are very friendly and the food came out hot and quickly. However, once I got it, I was underwhelmed. I got some... basics, nothing fancy. The egg roll was good, the steamed dumplings were fine but nothing I would make a return trip for andthe chicken fried rice was really bland. None of the fried flavor you are hoping for when you order that dish. The restaurantwas clean, they have about 4 tables. Typical atmosphere, no problems there. Prices were fair and reasonable. I see from thereviews that many others love the place so maybe I just caught them on an off day, but the only reason I could see coming backwas because the staff was friendly and fast. BTW, others have said that this place is cash only, but I paid with a credit card,so maybe things have changed recently. Read more
