Had to take care of some business on Bayfield Street and came across this joint. The lady behind the counter was super friendly... and helpful. The inside had a quaint, classic burger shop feel. You can instantly smell the fresh ground beef on the grill whenyou walk in. I went with the basic Cheeseburger, fries and drink combo. The fries were so crispy and perfect. Fluffy and soft onthe inside and crisp on the out. The burger although a bit pink in the middle which I'm not a fan of I really enjoyed the freshingredients and butter basted bun. We were traveling through and were looking for a locally owned food place. We settled on Smokin Pete's and thoroughly enjoyed... our supper. We ordered the Great Canadian burger and it was delicious in every regard. The ingredients were fresh and generous.We also ordered a large fries which were enough for two of us and they were crisp and hot, just the way I like them. The staffwere also very friendly and helpful. We certainly would recommend them and would gladly return if we ever get back to Barrie. Read more

Best hidden gem in Barrie. Absolutely the best hamburger I have had in a while hands down! Burger was fresh, made to order and... cooked to perfection. Smokin Pete's is more than reasonable with their pricing and the staff is super friendly and professional.Great location close to highway 400 it will be my new go to spot whenever I am in the area. Well ! I saw that this burger place opened got a menu and went home with it, after a few weeks my wife and I decided to try one... of there burgers. All I can say is that was months ago and we have been back so many times. We have tried many of the menuitems and not once have we been disappointed. Everything is done to perfection, they even go the extra mile and toast my wife'sbun. Amazing staff, extremely friendly and helpful.
