As much as I love cafe american, I was very disappointed ???? in them tonight, ordered my usual Alfredo pasta with extra sauce... ???? got my movie ready and waited for my food to arrive, first of all it was a half of cup, it was dry and looked overcooked,the container was dirty and I was heartbroken,???? but on a good note, the lemon ice box pie was absolutely delicious ????asalways, thank you and have a great Halloween Weekend ???? probably see you on Sunday ?????? Thank you for your feedback andconcern, I love you guys and will always continue to support Cafe American ???? it has been one of my favorite restaurants forover 30yrs. Thank you and see you soon! I gave 4 stars for the wait staff. The waitresses are always attentive, friendly and provide fast service. Our last visit on... 7/23/22 was less than ideal, but not because of the quality and taste of the food or the waitress. It was because of an incidentbetween an older gray haired plump man (presuming the manager or owner) and some of the waitresses. He came in and had a quickimpromptu meeting by the bar that we could hear everything. He chastised the waitress/waitresses for phones, stations, etc. Wefeel that was very inappropriate and disrespectful to the employees to do something like that where customers could hear it all. This does make us think twice about eating there if management isn't good to the employees. Happy employees does translate togood service. We do love the food, atmosphere and the wait staff. They always share a friendly smile and kind words. So Iread Cafe American's response and the part you missed is how it was handled...in front of customers. I have been in managementfor over 25 years and there are definitely better ways to handle an issue you are having with an employee than calling them outin front of customers and embarrassing them. I understand inflation but to seriously up-charge $1.75 on a slice of American cheese for the Cafe Burger is a laughing JOKE.... Want a baked potato? Don?t ask for bacon bits, that?s $1.75 up charge too. I like supporting local restaurants but this isCHEAP. The owner is enjoying himself in his million dollar estate. Sorry you lost my business for $1.75. I will not support therich price gauging. Read more
Cafe America and its owners are the most generous and caring. They assisted me in my hour of need, providing a beautiful and... most delicious meal for my husband's memorial service. Everyone who attended from Louisiana, Kentucky and North Carolina werevery pleased with the quality and service provided. It was the best experience for me and my family.
