Every time I come here, I get nothing but the most amazing experience. My waiter is always Chance and he is such a sweetheart.... He’s very attentive and always makes sure that we have everything we need and that our food is well made. If you go, ask forchance because he will be the best waiter you’ve ever had! Read more
I will say this, I really don't care for the Baton Rouge area. But this place has really changed my mind about it. Let's start... with the waitress. I have trouble resembling names, but Ashley made sure she wasn't going to be forgotten. She was veryattentive the attire time we were there. Not once did we wait too long for anything. She was soft spoken, but very polite. Sheeven made me feel like my corny jokes were funny. And she was also very knowledgeable when it came to menu items which made itthat much easier for us to decide what we were going to get. Now the food. One word. Amazing. Everything was cooked perfectly.My wife and I wanted to flip a coin to see who was going to kiss the cook first. The last time we had good Mexican food anddrinks was at our favorite place in Biloxi. My husband and I went there 2 days in a row due to an event at the hotel next door, and it was definitely better than expected.... There weren't many people there so it didn't take long to be seated or get our food. Our server Ashley was very pleasant, ifservice with a smile needed a definition, it would be her. She was very attentive and made sure we were taken care and answeredall of our questions. We ordered drinks from the bar. I had the blueberry lemon drop and it was amazing. My husband had the mintmojito which was also very good. The food was delicious and was also part of the reason we went back the 2nd day. The onlyreason I don't give it a 5, is because the 2nd day, we had a different waiter and he was very nice but pretty slow and forgotmultiple things, multiple times. Looks better than it tastes. Flour tortillas were chewy and the tastes of flour overpowered the chicken and steak fajitas, but... that may also be because they were so bland. The rice tastes like it came out of a microwavable bag. Tortilla chips & dip andhouse margarita were fine. Wasn't worth $33. Read more

I had lunch here with my son, who has Celiac’s Disease. The manager - Blake - was AMAZING. After talking with him, I had... full confidence that they were going to make sure my son didn’t accidentally get gluten. When he ingests gluten, he throws upfor 4-6 hours, so it’s serious. Blake even went out of his way and fried up the tortilla chips in a separate pan so my soncould enjoy them. Almost all Mexican restaurants have gluten-free tortilla chips, but they’re contaminated because they’recooked in the same fryer as things with flour. I felt like we were Blake’s own family, the way he took care of us. I highlyrecommend Tio Javi’s. The food was outstanding. Read more
