Went there for supper as we have had many times in the past before Covid restrictions. The food and service was always... excellent. However, this time, two people in our party had steak that was inedible. In one instance, the steak was returned anda second brought out. No better. Also the ribs were tough and under cooked. I have been fishing at Sportsman's since the early 90's. The first and in my opinion the most important is the customer... service. Jennifer has always gone the extra mile to ensure my family and the numerous friends we have brought to Sportsman'sover the years had an exceptional stay. The guides, no matter which one we fish with have always done their best to put us onfish and have a blast on the lake or river depending on what mother nature allowed us to do. Had an absolute blast. Unfortunately the second day fishing was what we were told "the worst weather on the lake in history". We... were stuck in the snow along with several bombers and the ride back to the lodge took I would guess 4 hours. The part thatbother me was the fact that the resort had no plan in place to get people back. I was not scared or worried, but not having aplan bothered me. For a place that has a "high prestige" like Sportsman's, that kind of thing needs to be addressed. In additionto that, several of the bombers break down or overheat. Money needs to be put into the maintenance of those things. People arepaying a lot of money for this experience. I travel all the way from Georgia for an annual ice fishing trip in January and/orFebruary. I wouldn't trade it for the world. So much fun and guides usually put us on a lot of fish. My only complaint is what Istated above. I will continue coming because everything else is outstanding, which is why I rated 4/5! We love Sportsman's. Seriously. I come here for breakfast and see one of the guides talking down to the Dock staff. What is wrong with this place.... His name started with a B and literally walked around like he owns the place. His attitude was so foul. Then I overhear himtelling someone else how lazy the dock staff worker is and how useless he is. Seriously I have never seen harassment like this.I really hope the dock staff guy was okay. Me and my husband left because no way will I stay to eat somewhere where it allowsthis level of harassment. This was absolutely disgusting. Read more
