First let me just say, I?ve been a customer here for years. Today 11-2-22 I received the worse food ever. I bought a carry out... plate which first was $19 for 1 plate.. but no big deal. I got home to eat the food and the gravy that was on the burned stewbeef was so salty I couldn?t eat it. So, given the owner Sarah, had just watched me leave her restaurant I called back and toldher what was wrong with my food. Sarah, the owner asked me what did I expect her to do? That the gravy came salty like that andI had already left with the food. I said well can you please credit me because I?ve paid $19 for this food I can?t eat and I?mat work. She was so rude and told me NO she wasn?t going to do that. I hung up the phone at this point because she was veryunprofessional. If the owner doesn?t stand behind her food and the products she ordered I personally will never spend anotherdollar in her restaurant. It?s sad that the owner would speak to her customer in such an unprofessional manner. I?m verydisappointed in her ethics, lack of professionalism, attitude and the way she represented herself as a business owner and BoardMember of our local Commissioners. Sarah, it?s time for you to sale out or retire if you don?t appreciate your customers anybetter than this. My family and I have spent so much money at Sarah?s in the City Baxley, Ga we should have stock. I wasn?t afly by night customer. You won?t take my money and give me awful service and expect me not to notify others. That?s unacceptableSarah, but that?s something you should know by now as long as you?ve been in business. Remember, it?s the loyal customers likemyself that have kept you afloat, be mindful because God sits high and look low. Your customers should matter not just take ourmoney and dismiss our complaints should there be one. Customer service is very important!! Please go take a refresher course onCustomer Service if you plan to work with the public. Sincerely, Ex loyal customer Read more

Went today for first time. I was not impressed at all. 15 dollars not worth it. Cornbread is jiffy I like real cornbread thought... with it being small town mostly elderly eating there it would be true cornbread not cake. I told the lady I would like to haveseen real cornbread she said it is it's jiffy laughed and walked off. Also I said like to have seen collard greens or cabbagenot all fried meat and starchy vegetables they did have greenbeans that was tasty. The meat ok fried chicken shrimp fish andcrab bites. She said we do have the collards etc during week weekend is our seafood buffet well shrimp chicken fish crab bitesdon't add up to seafood buffet to me. They need to be grilled shrimp fish lobster tails and stuff other than starchy vegetablestunipgrerns goes great with fish to meand where's hushpuppies. Everything besides greenbeans was very bland to me will notrecommend or go back Read more

Recently had to take several long trips to Baxley. We arrive hungry and go to Sarah's every time. Never disappointed, never... leave hungry. My sweet tea will stay full as the same friendly lady appears out of thin air to refill it before its half goneevery time and the reappears to keep each table clean as if she's a super friendly, lightning fast, customer service super hero. The only complaint I could possibly have is that there could be a little light neutral music in the background. The selectionand price is unbeatable. This place right here is a great place to sample all the bests that southern hospitality has to offer. Read more
