I ordered Khao Yai Thai (Tiger Curry), which is a dish based on traditional herbs and broth without coconut sauce. The flavor is... superb and I very much enjoyed the fish. If you love Thai food this restaurant won't disappoint. I plan on taking my daughterthere next to introduce her to Thai cuisine. We dropped by this unassuming place after seeing the line was too long at a popular restaurant across the parking lot, and all... of us like Thai food, so we took a chance. What a nice surprise Khao Yai was! A casual, pleasant atmosphere, and the food wasexcellent, for all 4 of us who dined there. I look forward to going back, as it was some of the best Thai I've had in theBeaverton area. I had the #25 Pumpkin Curry, my husband had the #39 Crispy Chicken with Crispy Basil which the waiterrecommended, and our friends had the Pad Thai and the #37 Pork Belly with Basil Leaf. Excellent Thai food. The soft shell crab fried rice was delicious and presented a new experience getting to eat the fried soft... shell crab! It was super tasty and something totally different. So delicious I forgot to take pictures until most of the food was gone! The coconut breaded fried sweet potato and sweet and... sour sauce was an excellent appetizer. The black sticky rice and sweet mangos dessert was the best I?ve had from local Thairestaurants. This soup in the picture is Tom Yum Gai and it tasted fresh and delicious, not too spicy.
