Delicious! I can’t wait to go back! It has been over 15 years since Ive stopped by Pepitas but decided to swing by yesterday... with a friend. The ambiance was lively and inviting. Decorated in festive colors, hanging birds and other traditional decor, itfelt like we were entering a whole experience. The salsa is authentic and the food was perfect. Served piping hot and perfectlyprepared. Pepitas has a wonderful menu that includes several traditional soups. I can’t wait to go back a day try themall. Yesterday we had the tacos Al carbon one and although the tortillas were tough from being a little bit overcooked theywere delicious. I appreciate that the tacos al carbon were prepared true to tradition. We also tried the bean dip and it wasgood. The beans actually had some flavor! Good location, plenty of parking. Welcome sign in the vestibule says "Please wait to be seated," but the vestibule can't be seen... from the kitchen area, where the staff is, so you have to wait till someone walks by, or go find someone if you can't wait. Forappetizers, the chips are warm and the red salsa is tasty. Service is cheery and prompt, and our waiter has a hell of a whistlethat he used with abandon going in or coming out of the kitchen. My Tacos Mexicanos (beef in soft corn torts) were very good, aswere my wife's enchiladas. We've been there a few times, and always look forward to it. Read more
On April 7th, 2022, we had dinner at one of our favorite local Cedar Hills Mexican Restaurant, Pepitas. They were packed and... somehow just two servers fed us all. It may not have been as fast of service as usual but everyone was showing grace and nocomplaints were heard around us. The family at the table across from us, pulled out cards and played Uker. ???? Our server gota 40% tip and earned every bit of it. Thank you Pepita's for getting it done and the food was amazing as always. Go and supportlocal. Read more
Fun atmosphere, yummy food, and good service! Right when we sat down we were given chips and salsa and asked what we would like... to drink. We both got a drink, appetizer and an entree and spent around $40. The salsa was spicyyyyy, but delicious. We both gotenchiladas. Read more
