Wanted to try another new place for dinner tonight so we headed to Liberty Station in Bedford. Loved the history of the... building, casual atmosphere. We had the famous Catfish filets (with sides) and coconut shrimp (and sides) and fried greentomatoes on a bed of onion straws and dill Sauce (plenty to share) as an appy. Took home lots of leftovers from our meals fordinner tomorrow! ???? The Catfish was out of this world, Coconut Shrimp was good and the fried green tomatoes were delish! We stopped in on our way back from Roanoke. It was the best decision ever. The Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly. It was so... fluffy it was like it melted in your mouth. The salad is crisp and flavourful. They have an amazing Raspberry almond sauce.The Raspberry Cheese Cake is the best I've eaten in all my travels. The owner Harry is a wonderfully cheerful gentleman wholoves to greet newcomers with a smile and a special treat. The town alone is full of history. This diner is no exception. Thediner was one of many key stations during the WW2. If you love history, trains, food and a wonderfully inviting atmosphere. There is no other place I would recommend. Read more
