Woody?s Tavern and Grill is a locally owned tavern (and sports bar) in the ?Shops? at the Galleria Mall. Three of us went for... dinner this evening. We found the place to be very lively ( and noisy). It was fairly crowded. The service was prompt, friendlyand the food was very good. Lots and lots of TVs everywhere. College football was going on. We had a good time. I wouldrecommend Woody?s to everyone, particularly to sports fans. Read more
Indoor bar and grill with even better outdoor ambiance. Had a few drinks with good friends. Definitely come back to try... something to eat. 9-2-22 Came back the next day for lunch and football Sunday. Service was pretty terrible and food was just asbad. Had to order our own food at the bar, it took a while to get in and when it did it was cold. Definitely over priced. Theestablishment was showing several games on several different TV's. Only down side was they could only stream the sound from oneTV. When I asked if they could change it to the Texas team playing (because we're in Texas) they said they were unable tobecause it would disrupt the other TV's and it would cause a problems. I even asked if they could alternate the soundintermittently and the answer was no. Mind you, multiple people made this request and got the same answer. Some of the worst wings I've ever tasted. Extremely slow food service even though we were the only ones ordering food during an... off hour (3ish). Brisket tacos and a chicken sandwich took well over 45 mins to make, again noone else was ordering food at thetime. Food quality of the brisket taco was average to below average. The chicken sandwich was pitiful, worst than fast food.Unless you're watching a game and drinking a beer I highly advise not coming here. Read more
We had lunch here. I had the patty melt and my husband had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. We both opted for a salad instead of... fries. Both sandwiches were really good. Mine was so big that I took half of it home. The side salads were really big and hadlots of ingredients in them. We had the jalapeño ranch dressing that was delicious with a kick. Woody?s is my second home. This place has a super special place in my heart. I?ve had almost everything on the menu and the... food has never been less than expected and always hits the spot. The staff is authentic, quirky, servant-hearted, kind, andalways do their best to help. They have bad days occasionally, but I was in the service industry for 10+ years and that shouldbe understandable. I absolutely love tipping them as each of them have given me a happy moment at some point in my time of goingthere. Go Woody?s! P.S. and Little Woodrow?s, treat this waitstaff as a treasure, they are at a level I have never experiencedat any of the Little Woodrow?s I have experienced in this state.
