I?ve been in the PNW for 5 months now. I?m a lil fanatical about Asian food. It?s been a part of my life since growing up in the... north east. I tried desperately to find a Chinese food restaurant that was similar or better than the east coast Chinese foodI?m used to (back in NJ/NYC and Florida). I searched high and low ???? and finally gave up. I must have overlooked Best Wok inmy search because I tried it today and it was very good. I?m a fan of ?presentation? so when I brought my food home I quicklyheated it up in the skillet and re-plated it ????. This is the first time i?ve seen egg foo young on a menu so I knew Best Wokwould be good. The service was nice and friendly. I?ve been coming to Best Wok for nearly 30 years, but hadn?t been back in quite a few after moving from the area. However, I... recently made a return trip to the Bellevue area and made a b-line from the airport to grab dinner before heading to my hotel. Iwas so pleased to see Best Wok still going strong. My only disappointment is that the dine-in experience isn?t as vibrant as itwas pre-pandemic. But that?s a new fact of life. Aside from still being among the Seattle areas best Chinese spots, it?s a localinstitution that is renowned among its regulars. It?s one of those places that is worth going out of your way to enjoy. But ifall the five star reviews don?t convince you, it might help knowing this place has been in business for 38 years, surviving thepandemic and supply and labor issues that shuttered many, many local restaurants and institutions. My daughter is in search of the best orange chicken on the east side. A couple times per month we pick a different Chinese... restaurant that has this on their menu. After dinner we discuss her thoughts of the food and compare with past experiences. Lastnight we ordered take out from Best Wok. In her words "this orange chicken is a 10/10", along with the egg roll (pork), and potstickers.
