We went earlier this year while we were next door at Menace. My wife and mother in law are Mexican and were hoping this new... place would be decent. From their menu I ordered the chilaquiles. Firstly, the front desk girl couldn't find it in her system atall. I had to show her the menu to prove it was there. They had to call someone in from the kitchen to figure out what to do.They had to ring it up as something else. I don't remember what my wife and MIL got, but I know that whatever I got wasn'tremotely resembling chilaquiles. They barely even qualified as nachos. It was plain flour tortilla chips with green sauce andsour cream poured on top, and hunks of scrambled eggs. I don't know what that would be, but it's not chilaquiles. My wife andMIL were likewise astonished at what they got, in a bad way. The menu nearly has as much American food such as hamburgers, hotdogs, and french fries as it does anything Mexican or Latin at all. It doesn't inspire confidence, and the food settles thedeal. As the restaurant is really a Salvadorean restaurant, not a Mexican restaurant, perhaps they do Salvadorean food well. Inwhich case they should stop pretending to be something other than that. For the price not worth it. Food was bland no seasoning I got the carne asada, could have made better at home. But the icing on... the cake was the waitress, pretty sure she was on something and it was not that green. She never checked on our table once.Spent most of the time sitting in the bar on her phone I?m sorry but when the restaurant is empty and we are your only customersI expect better service. Don?t waste your time coming here go to one of the of the local Taco Trucks instead. Better service andbetter food. Will never be back to this restaurant. Read more

The menu here has a WIDE variety of dishes to choose from. This hidden gem has lots of flavors (multi-cultural dishes) that can... satisfy specific cravings. The really kind staff are also worth a shout out or two!! Read more

Stopped in to try this place. First off, lights at grocery store brightness and blowing cool air on a chilly evening do not make... for good atmosphere. Decided to stick with Mexican offerings instead of the other Central American ones to gauge quality.Overall, underwhelming fare. I ordered a ground beef tostada and a taco. Both were so bland, with no discernible seasoning. Evenmy avocado tasted a bit past its prime. My wife ordered enchiladas mole and it too lacked flavor, depth, or heat. Honestly, Imake better tacos at home. Considering several awesome Mexican places already in town, I don?t see a reason to return here. Read more

As a Canadian, one thing we can't get is good Mexican unless we cross the border into the United States. I was looking for a... location I hadn't been yet and came across El Rey Latino restaurant. I was with my wife and one of my daughters and when weentered were greeted by very friendly staff. We were the only ones in the restaurant so were a little apprehensive but soondiscovered that they were fairly new. The menu had many options from the various Latino countries. The food was delicious. Itwas well presented and the portions were generous. The complimentary chips salsa was very tasty. And at $1.25 a bottle for thedrinks, an excellent value. I highly recommend this place. I'll certainly come back again. Read more
