Orders a grilled chicken cutlet sandwich. Gets a salad with chicken salad on top of a salad. Which isn't even a menu item.... There's tuna salad on the menu. So no idea what was sent to me, which is HILARIOUS. Mystery meat. I'm pregnant so it's notrecommended to eat chicken salad (Or tuna) unless I make it myself. Not sure what happened last night! We ordered around 6:14pm. Got a message to track and delivery would be 7:35. Next message... said the driver was on his way at 8:15pm, called looking for our order at 8:30 pm. Said they would redo our order. Found our icecold pizza, sandwich and toasted ravs on our porch. An hour later new order found on our porch. Instead of a pepperoni, baconand meatball pizza , we got a sicilian pineapple, mushroom peppers onion etc!!!we had to throw it out allergic to mushrooms. Awful service. Waited 40 minutes for a slice of pizza and didn?t even get it.
We've been frequenting Comella's since it had only one location in West Newton. I miss those days... it seems with every new... location the quality is diluted more and more. The Belmont location was decent... not on par with those early days... but stilldecent. Until recently anyway. Quality started getting inconsistent... which can happen in a place that probably has highemployee turnover (HS kids, etc) which wasn't a huge deal, it was still edible. Unlike our most recent order (8/12)... whichwas kind of the last straw. My go to favorite... the veal alfredo arrived a brownish/black color with a heavy bitterness I hadto spit out as soon as it touched my tongue. Unfortunately the taste had seeped down into the pasta, staining it brown andleaving it just as inedible. Ok... well at least I could share the kids meatballs. Oh wait... they forgot those. And theyforgot the broccoli too. So basically all that was left was an order of pasta, a salad and soggy garlic bread for a family offour. It's unfortunate as we genuinely enjoyed this place.
