We got married here last Saturday, it was an amazing unforgettable experience. I want to give the resort, the owners, and the... staff all 5 stars the big cabins are very very nice and updated (22,23) the smaller sleeps 6 cabins (19,20) are not amazing, mygroomsman got accosted by a mouse at 3am and his wife got her muffin eaten by a mouse earlier that night? I personally feel for$300 ish dollars a night you shouldn?t have to defend yourself from the wildlife! if you are looking to have a wedding here Iwould absolutely recommend this place 100% it is beautiful, there are some thing that are not stated on the website when youinquire that are not told until you put down your non refundable deposit, the site fee $4,000 includes a huge tent all thechairs and tables, and all of the little things typically one would have to rent, the food is catered by Ken elk lakes catererand it is amazing all of the props to him and his staff, there is a mandatory $3000 food and or beverage minimum , it had meworried at first about getting ?nickled and dimed ? as we paid and checked out but Wendy the resort owner had emailed us ainvoice a few hours before check out! If you are looking into getting married here I absolutely recommend it I just feel likeyou should know before inquiring! Thank you elk lake staff we will be back! Read more

Stayed in the glamping tents. Little chillier than we expected but beautiful and enjoyable experience. They seemed understaffed... when we were there so they had a hard time keeping up with the number of guests hence the 3 stars on service. Read more

Ribs were not cooked. You could see pink muscel tissue. We returned the ribs to the kitchen. The ribs were returned to us and... told they were smoked all day. We didn't eat the ribs and went to eat somewhere else. Our waitress was pleasant and helpful. Read more

Horrible experience here today, Sunday 8/21. Sign says restaurant opens 11am for lunch. Arrived @ 12 to a line of people... waiting for it to open. In the hot sun for 45 minutes when the hostess told us "to go" orders are placed at the Ice Creamwindow. We go to the window and the kid says he can't take our order for a 1/2 hr. When we asked to talk with the manager shegot real huffy and said if you're going to be rude I will refuse you service. What service? We got none! The owner evidentlycan't keep anything running properly from the restaurant to the marina. Read more

We had a great trip and loved the lake! Spent the whole day swimming and enjoyed the live music. The fire pits are nice and... fires are still allowed as of 8/7. However, I don?t feel the glamping tents are worth $130 a night. If you get a campsite closerto the water you might have the same, if not a better experience. Make sure you ask for a heater and extra propane tanks. Wedidn?t have a lantern either when we arrived after the desk closed. Froze both nights, so bring heavy blankets. Once we got aheater for the second night, it didn?t last all night. So you?ll need extra green tanks. Also, the glamping tents are right nearthe road and are stacked on top of one another. #4 and #5 are basically right next to each other, so you don?t have muchprivacy. #3 looked to be the only one with space. And for the price, you?d think there might be real bathrooms. But it?s portapotties that get really full on the weekends and start to smell. The water to the sink was turned off the first night we stayed. Also, there is one shower for the whole campground that had a broken shower head and hair all on the ground. They have a secondone that is nice and clean but reserve it for people who moored their boats. They treat these people first class, even if youspend $200+ for the weekend. Also, be prepared to walk your stuff down a big hill as they try to reserve all the parking for dayuse. Again, even if you paid a lot of money, you don?t get rights to park near the water, so you have to haul all your stuffback and forth from the campsite, down to the lake. I love this lake but the resort could use some improvements to justify thehigh prices. I?d rather just come from my home in Bend and go for the day instead of spend the money. Read more
