food is usually great, and fries are amazing, but definitely disappointed in portion size lately. I'm not sure if its only... carryout, and this isn't the first time it's happened, but to get this miniscule amount of fries for $5 is kind of ridiculous. Read more
My husband and I visit world of beer on Thursday July 21st around 4ish. What a great atmosphere. We sat at the bar and the... bartenders where great. They were very attentive, our drinks and food came in a timely fashion everything was great. I also wantto say that the guy and girl that where working together communicated so well with each other making everything go smoothly. Youcould tell they he may have more time and experience working there but he was building her up to make her shine. It wassomething you just don?t see anymore. Team work. Let me just say that this is not the kind of place I would normally go on a regular basis. So why the 5 stars? The beer list is... comparable to any craft beer bar. The food is exactly what you expect from a gastropub/sports bar, but very well done. Thereason for the 5 star review is because of the service. The hosts/hostesses, waiters/waitress, and bartenders were all amazing.Every member of the staff was polite and going out of their way to take care of the patrons. Me and my husband came down to the DC area for a few days and we stopped in WOB at like 7pm on a Tuesday. That place was packed,... but after eating there I?m not surprised that it?s so busy on a Tuesday. The atmosphere is great, they have a great beerselection and the food is AMAZING. I highly recommend the beer pretzel. But the best thing about this place to me is the staff.I?ve worked in food service, this place was basically at max capacity and even with all that, we were taken care of basicallyimmediately, and not just that while we waited for them to clean a table for us I had 6-7 different staff members come up to askif we needed anything and made sure we were being taken of. Which is like insane considering how busy they were. My waiters nameis Guillermo, he was just genuinely a good guy, very nice, calm and attentive.
