Whomever answers the calls there is unprofessional and immature. It's definitely a young girl. I didn't get her name, nor did... she give it. I called to check on the available stock they have in the display case. She laughed as she was listening to me,then said let me check, immediately after saying that she said they didn't didn't anything available, and hung up. If you arethe owner you better start screening your employees and checking their credentials. I understand it's a horrible job marketright now, but you might as well just stay closed, instead having people like this represent your business. Read more
So my husband and I really wanted and ice cream cake for our wedding. We thought it might be an odd request but we were... pleasantly surprised when the owner said she does them! We were able to order the cake exactly how we wanted it and the factthat we were able to actually have an ice cream cake as our wedding cake made the day even more special and personal. Wednesdays are still "buy one soft-serve sundae and get one free" at this Carvel. My husband and I grew up on this ice cream and... it's still our favorite. They make their own cakes up fresh in this store. I highly recommend their Dusty Road sundaes. And ifyou like fruit cocktail topping, theirs is the best! Read more
It almost never do this, but I had such a bad experience at this Carvel that it almost ruined a big family birthday, so I'm... giving this place 1 star. I called 2 days ahead and placed an order for 2 custom cakes, because I had a gift card I wanted touse up. I also asked if they accepted gift cards, mentioned it was an online gift card from the Carvel website, and was told 2times that they did. However, when I went to pick up the cakes, the cashier wouldn't process my gift card, because she didn'tknow how to. She said that they didn't have a QR scanner, and I said that was fine. I explained that I had a 16-digit code and apin for the gift card too, and asked if she could try manually entering it like a debit card. She said she didn't know how to dothat either and refused to even try. I asked if there was someone she could call to walk her through it, and she repeatedly saidno. I offered to go home, print out the gift card and bring it back for her, and she said no to that too. She was completelyunhelpful and refused to offer any solutions or try anything besides tell me I should pay for it with a credit card, even thoughI was promised I could use a gift card. What a scam. Having also had to use a POS credit card machine for multiple jobs, I canattest that they are a little intimidating, and also not that hard to train to use. TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES TO PROCESS ALL TYPESOF PAYMENTS YOU CLAIM TO ACCEPT. Read more
